How much money I made on Medium with 30 days of not writing

I’ve been writing on Medium now since the end of May 2022 and I’ve documented the ups, the downs, and things I’ve learned along the way. One of the reasons people join Medium is to make money. That’s the truth. And I’d be lying if I didn’t say it was a motivating factor. Though, I’ve learned it’s so much more than that.
When the new algorithm hit in August, I was excited by the potential. My earnings were starting to go somewhere. But as with any socially-driven platform, being active and continuing to post boosts your overall visibility.
Sometime in September or October, we received an email saying that bots had disrupted potential earnings. I was hopeful that some of that would be added back in by the end of October. Especially because I decided to take some time off from writing and focus on other projects, such as my growing Etsy store. Check it out here!
